Flame is a dark academic romantasy that reflects on the daily injustices people face regarding; racism, xenophobia, classism, and individual trauma that plagues the way we view and interact with the world.

In the world of Novae Terra Fire Fae are born with a barrier that prevent them from feeling emotions. This has been the case for centuries, until reports of Fire Fae breaking their barrier make their way to Empusa, the home of the Vampire king. In order to protect Empusa the Vampire King sends Celeste to Novae Terra Institute to get stronger so she can protect the country that owns her.

While at Novae Terra Institute, commonly known as NTI, Celeste meets Zajier Vossier.

Zajier has been sent to NTI for one reason, to protect the crowned princess of Inferis while she gets an education. Zajier has his own shady agenda while at NTI, and this becomes even more clear when he meets the one person who can help him get his revenge.

The two of them battle the undeniable bond threatening to ruin both of their plans as they determine where their loyalty lies. They are both forced to make decisions that will change the trajectory of the future of Novae Terra.
