In Case You Were Listening by T. Alabria
Love Banks and Easton “East” Carter live in two completely different worlds, but somehow, love finds a way to put them right in each other’s path.
Love spends her nights behind the microphone, helping everybody else figure out their love lives while trying to make sense of her own. East is used to being in control, protecting the people he loves, and keeping his emotions locked up where nobody can touch them.
Neither of them is really prepared for what happens when they meet.
In Case You Were Listening is a love story about fear, vulnerability, trust, and taking a real chance on somebody even when everything in you is telling you to protect yourself. It’s messy, emotional, passionate, and very much about learning that sometimes love requires you to stop running and actually listen.
This story means a lot to me because I poured a lot of real emotion into Love and East. At the heart of it, I just wanted to tell a story about two people learning how to love each other without letting fear make all of their decisions.
